warranty service?? Are you crazy, the whole point of the IMEI problem was to stop people from unlocking there phones. So why would apple provide a service to something that is against there policy.

Are you sure you used the correct one? There's 03.x and 04.x. You should use 03.x. And please tell me at what point it fails.

I've fixed at least 10 phones with 0049 this way, and at least 30+ people mailed me telling me it worked fine as well.

There are many types of 0049 IMEI... from experience (my old iPhone, RIP), when it is exactly 004999010640000, and no seczone backuped, your chances are REALLY slim

If I know, I can stop trying

Also, can I patch it up enough to get warranty service?
Did you follow my instructions exactly in that order?

    1) Go to 1.0.2.
    2) Virginize the baseband using the BB Virginizer 03.x script from the i.unlock.no source in Installer.app.
    3) Run AnySIM 1.02 (yes, the old version). The IMEI should be back to normal.
    4) Virginize the baseband again.
    5) Unlock using any of the currently popular methods.

I make this steps, and when run anysim 1.02, says-me "the flash firmware is ok, so the unlock commandas failed", i viriginize with "i.unlock.no", without errors, and nothing , wifi ok, bluetooth ok, so imei remain 4999999Ęs...

any help with success donate 50$!, please Pm!
    Thanks

I used 03.x virginizer. It ran successfully, but the imei/incorrect sim problem persists.

Tried this as well. Still "Incorrect SIM" and 0049 IMEI.
