    Default Why the wait?

Is anyone else annoyed that so many previous hacks have came out but now they want to skip 6.1.3 and jump right into iOS 7? What happens to the people that are stuck? I would think as a producer of products you want to give your customers what they want and need, no just flip flop it. I know it has a few buddies of mine thinking of ditching and going another route when it comes to mobiles out on the market now.

Maybe they're deciding to follow Micro$oft's lead... you know, decide what you want your customers to use and stop supporting the rest (they did that with the new Windows8, I heard). I thought Apple folks were less like that.

This has been explained many times before (please search before posting, it'll get you an answer more quickly and stop the mods from explaining the same things over and over and over again) and it has NOTHING to do with greed and/or the pointed nonsense so far discussed on this thread.

If they sacrificed the exploits they knew about now to jailbreak 6.1.3, the exploits would be fixed for iOS 7. It makes much more sense for them to keep the exploits hidden until iOS 7 is released with the hope that the exploits will not be fixed, as iOS 7 will likely be released with new hardware, and if the exploits are still around, it could be possible to hack the new hardware very close to launch.

6.1.3 is a tiny update (and ultimately, according to most support forums, is causing more problems than it is solving at present). There are only a handful of people that are forced to use it (either people who didn't follow instructions and ended up boot-looping their phone and needing a restore, or people who weren't careful about installing tweaks and ended up needing a restore, or people who weren't paying attention and upgraded to iOS 6.1.3, or maybe just maybe, the few people who just bought a phone with 6.1.3 on it). It makes absolutely no sense to sacrifice multiple known exploits just so that 6.1.3 can jailbreak (when 6.1.2 already can) if there is the possibility that they will still be exploitable in iOS 7 if they are not published now.

So, nothing to do with Apple jailbreak people 'deciding what they want their customers to use', and honestly, it sucks if you're in this minority but the number of people on iOS 6.1.3 is nothing compared to the people who are successfully jailbroken on 6.1.2, and is nothing compared to the amount of people who will want to go to iOS 7. To understand, you have to think about this beyond the perspective of 'I'm holding an iOS 6.1.3 phone in my hand that I can't jailbreak', because frankly you're not the majority...
