Default I recorded video of a hate crime, then was forced to delete it off my iPhone

I recorded video of this hate crime as evidence and then the guy forced me to delete it off my iPhone about an hour ago. Is there ANY way to get this back? This German person was attacking a Jewish person and I recorded it on video. He forced me to delete the video. I tried to email it to myself first but I was unable to and he gave me 5 seconds before saying he would "beat my ass". I wasn't connected to iCloud. Is there a way to get this back? Please Help!

Hi. Is that real? I'm wondering how this turned out? There was an answer to a similar type of question which recommended checking out this link. photorec and iphone

You should have been a little more careful about being seen recording that. If someone is already being attacked, you can pretty much count on being attacked for recording it. You are lucky they didn't do more to you than ask you to delete it.

You should have immediately sent a copy to yourself - to your e-mail address. Or, you could have sent one to a friend. Then, when they see that it is deleted from your phone, you still have a copy.
