About LinkBacksJust moved to Germany from the states. I have no service obviously. My carrier was Verizon but I'm going to have to cancel it. I'm trying to get a new service without buying a new iPhone (I only got this phone 2 months ago). My brother told me to jailbreak and my options would open up. I just unlocked through the new absinthe 2.0. Ultrasn0w doesn't seem to work. Is there anything out there that could solve my problem???

Just to let you know Absinthe 2.0 in only the JAILBREAK... not the unlock.
Now with that being said... i think you missed the very short WINDOW of opportunity to get and have the UNLOCK.
NOTE: this is no longer working...

Many companies provide unlock software's at affordable prices with latest features, The installation process is simple and fast. Sorry jonathoncarr, but...
there is no way in the moment to unlock a 4S. I've written the details of your first link "Unlock an...." and this site offers only an unlock for the 2G (seems they are not uptodate). Please read their terms and conditions. For jailbreaking my iPhone it's not necessary to pay some money. This software tools from the amazing iPhone hacker community are allways for free and if you like their work and want to support them you can give them a donation !!
If you know a way to unlock a 4S, let us know, many users and members here will say thank to you for that

To unlock the iPhone 4S you have to purchase an IMEI unlock.

Lately Prounlocking is getting good reviews from a few people I know that have started using them. Sometimes the hunt to unlock/break is harder to find than others but at least this one is still working (for the time being).
