    Default syncing problems....

So, my friend tried installing io5 today and ran into for a few problems. First off when he tried syncing after updating to iOS 5 he got an error message. He couldn't tell me the code number but it was saying something like "iTunes will delete any media not saved in itunes library". He backed all of his stuff to his computer and could see it in the library. Everything was checked to sync up and there weren't any restrictions on the phone. His phone is authorized on his computer. He did a restore from backup and when he tried syncing up, the only things to transfer over, were his contacts and photos. No music, no videos, no calenders or books. I tried to tell him everything I knew, but nothing would work. He's working with an iphone 4 software 5.0 firmware 04.11.08 . I have searched and can't find anything, but if this is a repeat question, just close the thread and I will keep trying to search. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the error 3600 or 3200 the other day on the iPad but that was it. I really need to figure out how to get the auto-sync (and mass delete) of my photos though.

Auto backup is under settings. Settings>iCloud>Storage and backup(down at the bottom)>iCloud backup. It will auto backup when you connect to wifi. What do you mean by mass delete pictures?

My apps were deleted after the upgrade to iOS 5 but I was able to sync them again through itunes. Is your friend not able to reload the apps, videos and music from iTunes? As for the calendar, that's a tough one. Maybe if your friend signs up for iCloud, he can sync the calendar that way? I have always synced my calendar and contacts through mobileme so I am not sure how to do it through iTunes.

For some reason when he updated to iOS5 it automatically turned on his wifi syncing and he doesn't have wifi, so it couldn't connect to the phone. He turned it off and hasn't had any problems. Just one of those weird over look type deals.

When you sync and the popup shows to move all images from your cell to your PC, it will not allow me the seconds I need to uncheck the "delete after syncing phones" box. Also, I guess that is what I get for double posting in this topic about another issue (karma), I got into the office today to dock my phone and it will go through the sync process twice.

That is kind of weird. I don't know what it would be doing that. So when you sync your phone up and it asks you if you want to delete after it has synced, it doesn't allow you enough time to uncheck the box? Have you tried backing up before try and sync up, that way all your stuff is on your computer in case it does delete your information? It sounds like itunes is trying to wipe your phone clean for iOS5.
