Default Recovering Data from iPhone with Unresponsive Screen

I dropped my iphone in water and now the screen won't respond. everything else seems to work (the buttons) and itunes can recognize the iphone but i cant use it because of the screen. Sucks but its not the end of the world, I figure I would just sell it on craigslist as a broken iPhone. The problem is that I reformatted my computer about a month ago and hadnt synced my phone since then, and now when I try to backup my phone with itunes it says "itunes could not connect with the iphone "reggie's iphone" because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode on the iphone before it can be used with itunes.

is there anyway to backup my iphone and then restore from backup on my new iphone or something? I really want my pics that I had on the phone (had almost 2k of them) and my contacts. But really, the pics are whats most important to me. Ive talked to some places about water damage repair but it all sounds pretty unlikely to work and quite expensive. Im not opposed to spending like 30-40 but id really like to stay away from the higher amounts people are charging. Is there maybe a program that can backup my phone if itunes cant? Anything with restore or dfu mode that could work to get the pics? I remember I used some sort of program that could backup and explore all the data on my iphone a year ago or so, but I am guessing it wouldnt work because there is a passcode.

    any ideas? this sucks balls.

Get a Hair dryer and turn it on high " without heat " and point it at the Speaker end and let it blow for 2 hours.... then try and turn it on....worked for me...remember WITHOUT HEAT.

Also get iEXPLORER iExplorer - Formerly iPhone Explorer, is an iPhone browser for Mac and PC

rugburn is right, try iExplorer, it should allow you to get all the files of the phone by just using the cable. orks with not jailbroken phones too.

Its saying unable to open target directory... I am guessing because of the passcode? Any ideas of how to bypass it or a way that I can enter the passcode through a program or something?

    Thanks

    Hey,
If the data are saved in the iPhones internal memory then you can access it whenever you want to see it. Problems occur if the iPhones memory crashed and there is high risk of data loss. This situation is very critical and if you not follow the right steps then your data will be lost forever. There are free iPhone recovery software available in the market which can recover the corrupted and deleted files which were present in the iPhone, such as iPhone Data Recovery.

    Default recovering data from iPhone

As long as you donít disable the automatic sync option in iTunes, it will automatically generate a backup for your iOS device when you plug your device into your Mac or PC, and the backup file updates along with your every sync.

So it is certainly sure and easy to restore iPhone from iTunes backup with iPhone data recovery. That is, you can recover data from iPhone from the recent iTunes backup whenever the data is missing.
