i would like to make a list of cool little features that you found in the new iOS5 which are not allready posted or talked about anywhere else or "officially".

like,

- if you scroll the weather widget sideways you get the 6 day forecast.

- if you go into landscape mode in calendar you get the new week view

- get word suggestions w/o the need of activating autocorrect

You can create new playlists from inside the Music app

I just restored my 3GS running 5.0 iOS back to 4.3.3 using XCode No tricks or SHSH files required, just the ipsw file - and obviously an OS X for the XCode to run.

iOS 5 beta 2:

Bluetooth pairs and works with Apple Bluetooth headset (the original one launched with first iPhone), but I still can't pair iOS5 with my car stereo.

Safari is still very buggy: lots of black areas in dynamic pages such as of Google Reader, background open pages do not cache as much as on iOS 4, reader view and history gets empty from time to time.

Remember the good old blue modal popups? They are translucent black with a red button now. And alarms goes to the notification center too!

How is iOS5 performance on the 3GS? Does it suffer like 4.0 does on the 3G/S?

A few bits are laggy than on iOS4, particularly Safari, but that should be because it's a beta: it crashes a lot, has no history. Hopefully when GM is out we could get a better picture. Overall, I would not say it got as bad on 3GS as when 4 was put.
