My iPod 4G has been freezing on the boot logo.
-I can not SSH into it because it says: 'No route to Host'
-I can not access it through iPhone viewer (not sure why)
-I can not get into it through FTP because my iPod doesn't accept the username or password (username: root)(i changed the password for it)
-I can not get into it through Netatalk because it doesn't chow up

The Story:
It was charging in my dock. I pressed the lock button to show the lock screen. It had an animated battery, so i took it out of the dock with it showing the animated battery. Then it froze, so i did a force reboot, and it started freezing on the boot logo.

And i can not restore because i need an untethered jailbreak because its a pain in the a** to have it tethered.

-I can not get into it through Netatalk because it doesn't show up

Can you put it into DFU Mode?

It could also be because the latest version of iOS is 6.x and you're still running 5.x

i can put it into dfu mode for about 1 min
