Modify iPhone locale settings (Region Format)
Hello,
Is there a way I can manually edit the international settings or localization?
I can't find them anywhere in the filesystem of my jailbroken iphone.
What I am seeking is to have my Region as Egypt, but to have the Date/time format in English not Arabic..
why i would do that, because a problem in bitesms can't detect my imessage contacts if I select their numbers while I am not selecting my proper region..and the only way to bypass this is to edit ALL my local contacts numbers by adding the leading internation prefix, i.e +2xxxxxxxxx in my case..
any help will be appreciated.
regards

Wow I got it..
After almost 3 hours browsing with ifile into preferences plist file I found the solution
Globalpreferences.plist file found in:
var/mobile/library/preferences using ifile plist efitor
go to the bottom of the file
<key>AppleLocale</key>
<string>ar_EG</string>
in my case I am in EgyptI changed from ar_EG to en_EG
and its is done. I keep all the english settings with Egypt phone number format.
Damn you apple. They should fix that to make people able to use region formats without affecting the system language.
