Keeping the market
I have a feeling between the death of Jobs and the insane amount of people that have went over to IOS5 the lovers of it will be around for sometime to come. I still hear people saying that android is taking over the market but between those who have already upgraded and those out buying new devices for it specifically I really do not see it coming.

I don't either. I agree, although there are other devices out on the market, nothing really compares to Apple devices, whether it be the phone or the tablet. Each upgrade brings new desirable features that will have people always coming back for more!

Apple products will be leading the technology world for a long time. HP came out with a touch pad similar to the iPad, but did not have the same success. Most people are going to want the original product.

Well they shelf the HP devices now out for prices not even worth the hardware lol. WebOS died a sad death even if it was a good idea.

I am amazed HP is even a brand people still mutter around. That is just like digging up bad things from the past that you honestly want to forget.

If Apple keeps providing solid upgrades and I think they should remain profitable. I am going to guess market share will get smaller because the market will get bigger as more people switch from cheap "dumb" phones to cheap smartphones. I found this link to a website where the author basically charted out how Android phones are not only hard to upgrade but how many of the phones were already a version or two behind when they were released.
the understatement: Android Orphans: Visualizing a Sad History of Support
I found this on daringfireball.net.

I don't think Android is a big risk it first of all serves a diffrent sort of clients and the fragmentation and other things do the entire thing no good. For tablets its pretty much a dead end atm anyways.

So far the only thing bad that I have seen is some weird lawsuit issue where Apple is going after some cafe? They need to avoid things like that, once a company looks bad in the media's eye they will not let up.

In my experience Apple has been a very polarizing company for a long time. They have their significant number of fans who love almost everything they come out with. Then there are those who won't touch any of their products. My brother falls in that category. We were talking about a South Park episode recently that mocked Apple's terms and conditions agreements, when he told me he won't even use QuickTime! I think he's overly paranoid, but to each his own.
I fall somewhere in the middle. I've had the same HP laptop for a few years, and I've had no problems at all with it. When it comes to phones and pads though, I definitely prefer Apple's products.
