So jailbroke my phone a couple of weeks ago and everything was going fine. I payed for a few apps here and there and then I started exploring. I caught word of this source /* Moderator Edit: Removed Filthy Pirate Source of Pirated Software for Cheap People */ and discovered i can download the same apps for free. I knew there was potential for disaster but I also knew all I had to do was restore my phone. I downloaded 3G restrictor (the free knockoff) today and my phone just started crashing. I immediately went to Cydia and removed the app. Now no matter what I delete it still goes to safe mode after it resprings. I downloaded crash reporter and it pretty much lets me know its always in springboard but never details the app in particular once a report is ran. I can open the report but i wouldnt know how to read that thing even if the answer were somewhere in it. I have no prob restoring my phone and starting over. Only prob is if I restore now I will have to updated to 5.1. There in lies another topic of discussion....Are their reliable jailbreaks for 5.1 yet? Will my apps work for it? Honestly the only app I truly care about is MYWI. So if someone could tell me if I restore and update to 5.1 and then jailbreak with 5.1 jailbreak and MYWI will be compatible and work fine I will go right ahead and do that. If not Im prolly just gonna keep my phone in safe mode. which sucks.....help, suggestions please sirs and mams....

The deb package is uncomplete, there's no instruction on what to remove from where at uninstallation. When you uninstall it from Cydia, only the app is deleted. Here the list of stuff you may verify and manually delete:
var/stash/Applications...:Unrestrictor3G.app
Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries: 4 files starting with Unrestrictor...
var/mobile/Library/SBSettings/Toggles: 2 folders 3G Unr. and 3GU-YT

Where might these be found incase I have trouble finding them?

I went to manage. Went through all my packages while on all 3 different settings (hacker, developer, etc.) and I didn't not recognize anything listed with the information you gave me. Any other steps, tips, or suggestions are greatly appreciated and thank u for your time.

You need to use iFile on iPhone or tool like DiskAid on PC.

So there's nothing left behind from Unrestrictor3G, the next thing you can try is turn the addons off one by one in mobilesubstrate: open SBSettings, scroll down to System Wide Options, select Mobile Substrate Addons, reboot after switching an addon to off.

I can guarantee this will work if you buy the app. We don't support pirates here. These apps are ridiculously inexpensive. If you can't afford a $5.00 app, you shouldn't have a $500 phone. Closing thread.
