i have iphone 4 with 5.1.1 (someone tried to hack it and didnt knew that its not sim free)
now its stuck on the first page of configuration and failes to activate
is there any way to downgrade it or do somthing even to make it IPAD , without the modem ?

You can just jailbreak it and fake activate. What you mean by make IPAD?

hi did manage to downgrade it to 5.0.1 but i cannot use my sim , its not recognized

is there any solution ? any turbosim ?

You can downgrade the software, but you can't downgrade the Baseband. If you check it's version it will still be the same one as before. And this version has this loophole fixed.

The baseband is still the latest fw you installed, you only downgrade the system around it. There was a loophole i.e. grevy sim used to bypass the baseband restrictions, but this got fixed.

So what u r saying is that i can use my iphone only as ipod ???

If you bought a locked phone and use gevey/turbo sim to unlock your phone the easiest way you can unlock your phone is by using the sim card your phone came with. Insert it into your iPhone and then try activating. If you dont have your original sim, you have to try alternative methods.

The problem with grevy is that it was recently fixed since the same loophole was used by another unlock. They are both no longer working.
