    Default Iphone 3GS upgraded to ios 5.1.1 unlock not working

    Hi All,

    I have an iphone 3GS and I upgraded it to ios 5.1.1. When I first switched it on, I followed the normal setup where you choose the language and the country, however I couldn't complete it since my sim card was not valid. So I followed this guide How To; Hacktivate 5.1.1 iPhone 3GS & 4 (Activate Without Sim) Step By Step! - YouTube and managed to hactivate my iphone (using red snow). Then I installed ultrasn0w fixer for 5.1.1 from cydia and then ultrasn0w. However I am still getting the no service signal when I insert my sim card.

    Anything I can try out to solve this issue?

    i think you missed the small window of opportunity to UNLOCK your phone with SAM.
    looks like you might have to wait for the new Unlock

    Did you preserve your baseband? If yes use Ultrasn0w 1.2.7

    you need to make sure you have iPad baseband 6.15.00. Try making a custom firmware with Sn0wbreeze and then restore to that firmware

    Make sure to Back up your SHSH .... use Tiny Umbrella...The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    use the links on the right side
