Hi,

I had an Iphone 3G which was jailbroken and unlocked. Somehow I messed it up and had to restore to latest IOS and firmware. To my surprise, without calling AT&T customer service to report the IMEI to make it simfree, the phone has become simfree by itself on ITunes.

Now, having another iphone 4 with old OS which is jailbroken, I am considering to lose the JB and update to the latest os. (5.1.1 I guess) Similar to the example of 3G model would I have a simfree iphone 4 or not? (I don't mind losing JB) If so Apple must have gotten rid of all sim locking policy. Is this the case?
