Hi hoping someone can help....
I have a jailbroke iphone4 ios 5 and have just got an iphone4s I have made a back up of the ip4, but when i try to restore the ip4s from that back up itunes comes up with 'can not back up corrupt file...'

I have managed to get all the apps and music to the ip4s but all my contacts and sms's are not there. I cloud isnt working (error messages)
I really need all my sms messages to be restored on to the 4s. can anyone please help me with this

How did you back up the iPhone4? Did you use an iCloud backup or back up locally to your PC? If you backed up locally, did you encrypt the backup? If you backed up on iCloud, did you ensure that the iCloud account on the phone matches your iTunes Store account on the PC and on the new iPhone 4S?

Beyond just that simple troubleshooting, can you provide the exact error message provided during the restore process? How are you initiating the restore? Are you right-clicking on the phone and telling it to restore from backup? Or are you restoring iOS to the phone and telling it to recover from a previous backup? All of this is somewhat useful for us to know and should help.

Last but not least, you mention you get errors when you attempt to use iCloud -- what errors do you get?
