Default Can you upgrade the 4.3.5 to IOS5?

Is it true that you can only upgrade the 3G successfully to IOS5? I have been hearing stories from some that upgraded from 4.3.5. They claim they lost apps, or it runs slow, etc.

iOS 5 is not officially supported on the iPhone 3G and as such, there is no supported mechanism to upgrade to it on the 3G. There are a few teams who have backported iOS 5 features to iOS 4.x and made custom firmwares, but since they contain copyrighted material, I can't link you to them here.

Beyond that, yes, iOS 5 runs terribly on the iPhone 3G -- it's just not fast enough to support the changes.

Don't thread jack, your post is completely unrelated to the original, that is considered rude.

Beyond that, saying it has an error and nothing else is like me telling the mechanic my car won't start over the phone and expecting him to know what's wrong.

Please provide more information on the error you're receiving.
