Anyone using Airplay?
Has anyone tried using Airplay with their iPad 2 or iPhone 4S. I am very curious to find out how well it works in a variety of situations like games and video. I am thinking about using the iPad as a whiteboard for my class presentations. I can hook up an Apple TV to the large screen monitor and then walk around the room and jot down comments and ideas without having to go in front of the class. I want to know if there is some lag time or is it very responsive.

I've used airplay at a buddy of mine's house, he's got an AppleTV. It was very quick through the AppleTV and the picture quality (720p max over wireless) was crisp and clear. It worked well for gaming, though we didn't watch a movie or anything from it.

Cyberdog, that's sounds like a great idea for the classroom. I'm amazed at how well technology enhances learning. I wish some of this technology was around when I was in school.

I've also heard that Airplay now works well for gaming with the iOS5 upgrade. If you're not getting significant lag time with gaming, then I don't see why Cyberdog's idea wouldn't work.
You're right Technite, these new technologies can enhance learning. If anything, it makes many things easier for teachers, which gives them more valuable time for instruction.
