Who is up for a challenge?
Trying to restore a 3GS with 6.15 bb. It seems like I have everything I need, but it fails with either a 3194 or 1611 error.
Here is what I have used.
3GS - 6.15 bb, not sure what the FW was before it bricked.
Tiny Umbrella v. 5.00.10
Snowbreeze version 2.7.3
redsn0w v. 0.9.6b6
itunes v. 10.4
WIN7
This phone was unlocked when I bought it, and working fine with T-mobile sim card.
TU was unable to retrieve shsh files because phone is stuck in boot loop, will not turn on and connect. I used this method to find my ECID
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=9192
This worked, and with my ECID I was able to enter it manually in TU. TU then retrieved 5 shsh blobs. 4.1, 4.3, 4.3.1, 4.3.2, 4.3.3.
With TU open and connected to the TSS server, I get the 1611 error. Without TU open, I get the 3164 error.
I have used both snowbreeze and redsn0w.
1. Open TU, and start TSS server.
2. Used snowbreeze 2.7.3 to create custom 4.3.3 FW.
a. pointed SB to official 4.3.3 ipsw
b. selected new bootrom (I had used "detect my bootrom" already), and selected "simple" mode, selected "activate".
c. followed instructions to put in pwned dfu mode.
(I have also used advance mode)
3. itunes opens, I shift-click restore and point to the SB 4.3.3 file.
I get 1611 error.
I have done the same thing using redsn0w, pointing it to the 4.1 official, using it to put phone in pwned dfu mode, opening itunes and selecting 4.1, get 1611 error.
I have also tried using redsn0w, and then selecting the custom 4.3.3 FW with same error.
I have tried using a USB port directly on the motherboard on the back of the PC.
I have tried using a laptop, also with WIN7, and get the same result, 1611 error.
It seems like I have everything I need, and I am following instructions, but it fails every time.
I have gotten a tremendous amount of help on a different forum from one person, but I think they are pretty close to being stumped with this one.
Does anyone here have an ideas what I am doing incorrectly?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
PS: the iphone bricked after it fell out of my pocket onto a wood deck.

Publish your iTunes restore log.
However 1611 means that this has failed pretty early in the restore. Can point to a USB cable, USB port, USB driver or dock connector daughter-board issue.
As you have eliminated the computer from the equation, then it's either a hardware issue in the phone or your USB cable.
