Default Using MyWi to tether internet: Update Question

I'm using MyWi as my only source for internet connection, I want to update my iphone 3G to 4.1, and obviously it will kill my tethering until I jailbreak it again. This may be a stupid question but iTunes does require an internet connection to finish the last step of the update ("Verifying software update") right? Or is there a way to bypass this?

iTunes requires a network connection for the SHSH hash checking that happens during that portion of the restore -- you're correct. If it times out or can't contact, it will not actually begin the restore, so you will need to have internet connectivity for at least the time that it is verifying the restore eligibility and getting the SHSH from Apple.

    SHSH: 4.3 & 4.3.3 - 6.1)

from cydia store like everyone else
Get the latest info for NoAccSplash Here
Currently it should work on iOS 4.x - 6.x
If you'd like to help extend its functionality, the source is also available.

    A) Don't threadjack, your question has absolutely zero to do with what we were talking about.
    B) Buy it from Cydia like truehybridx says, there's no other legitimate place to get it and we do not endorse / support / condone piracy here.
