URGENT! SSH ramdisk for 4.3.2
Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you knew how to create an ssh ramdisk for 4.3.2 I saw the other post and i got lost at the part where you mount the ramdisk and install the ssh package. I know how to do everything else, tho. I'm also on Windows, but I do have access to a Hackintosh. I'd rather not use it, tho. Is it possible to do this on Windows, and if so, how???? thx!

Please search before posting, for multiple reasons:
A) What you're asking for is a very detailed process and missing or skipping a step could cause serious problems for your phone. Because of this, you want to make sure you get proper instruction that is clear and concise, and includes every step.
B) This question has been asked and answered many times on the forums -- it's easier for you to search and find the complete answer than it would be for someone to re-type it, and you don't want someone re-typing it and missing a step.
The good news is that what you're trying to do is possible. Searching just for 'custom ramdisk' should provide the proper results for you. A quick search gave me this result, which is a great starting point: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f128/132063.htm
That should give you both a good starting point and good ideas on where to search to get the rest of the answer. Be careful and read the steps before you start -- this is a pretty in-depth process and doing it wrong can cause all sorts of problems.
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.

I recently did this on a 3GS, followed msft.guy's instructions (I recommend you use this process even if you have an old bootrom device Mostly iPhone hacking: Booting SSH ramdisk on new devices - read the comments also, some great hints in there).
Had success on a mac, my windows machine would timeout when sending the pwned kernel/ramdisk. If this happens try another USB port, USB hub or another computer. It does work on windows but there is so much variance in USB ports on windows machines - so not every machine will work.

How did you make out with this? Will that ramdisk things work on an iphone 4 on 4.3.2? All these post mention the 3gs, and I can't wait much longer with no phone.
