Hi all. I have a problem with my 3G.

It's running 3.1.3, and I went to upgrade to 4.1 last night. After over an hour, the iPhone screen was still showing only 2/3rds complete at the restore step. Would not go any further. I had this exact same problem when I tried going to 4.0. I ended up having to go round to my sisters and do the process through her PC, and it worked fine. All done within 15/20 mins.

I'm running a Macbook with all the latest updates for software and OS, iTunes 10. Phone was synced before starting the upgrade process. I can't even downgrade the phone as it's stuck in recovery mode now, and however I try to things, like going back down to 3.1.3, it just gets stuck at the same point in the recovery process.

But thanks to the 50+ people that have viewed and read this post and offered nothing. Not even a "oh yeah I'm having the same issues" or " don't know what your taking about, mine is fine"

Your log file doesn't look complete. What I can see is that the prior restore failed - I'm not entirely sure why.

Can you please try to restore to 4.1 again and pastebin the full restore log.
