I'm trying to unlock my iPhone 4 (4.2.1 firmware) with redsn0w to be able to use it with another telephone company, but when my iPhone is doing "Uploading ramdisk" (during the unlock) the blue bar, stops at the middle of the way and it never continues charging...

What should I do?

Usually this is a USB related problem. Are you using an original USB cable?

Otherwise, are you using the correct IPSW (one for an iPhone 4)?

There is no way to unlock an iPhone 4 running 4.2.1 IPSW unless you updated via pre-pwned custom IPSW. If you received the iPhone already running 4.2.1 then it can't be unlocked right now.

Also if you restored to 4.2.1 (without using TinyUmbrella's TSS server) then you have updated the baseband to a version that can't be unlocked right now.

If you restored to 4.2.1 (using tiny umbrella's TSS server) then your baseband was not updated, but your restore should have failed due to the new baseband check in the restore ramdisk. The only currently public way to bypass this is to use pwned IPSW.

There is no official pwnagetool bundle for 4.2.1 on an iPhone 4 - you can however find un-official bundles out there.

I'm using an original USB cable and already try with diferents USB ports.
The IPSW downloaded from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/`"iPhone 4 4.2.1 (8C148)".
This iPhone is not jailbreak or unlock and it never was either. A month ago I run a update to 4.2.1 using iTunes. I've never restored my iPhone.
Can I donwgrade to 4.2 or 4.1 and then made the unlock??
How?
