Default Is there a solution for iOS 4 on original 2g iphone?

Hi all, does anyone know if there's been or going to be any effort to allow iOS 4 to be installed on a first-gen iphone? I would prefer to stay on T-Mobile as opposed to AT&T (~$80/month cheaper service for two of us with first-gen iphones) but would like to get the upgraded software. I realize my situation's a rather minor concern at this point but it would be nice to know if this is a possiblity. Thanks!

I won't be surprised if hackers come up with something. It is a lot more complex than simply making a jailbreak for an existing OS - so expect this to not be released any time soon. (if anyone even manages it).

Also remember that with jailbreak and 3rd party hacks - implementations of most of the features of 4.0 are already available via Cydia.

Yeah I was expecting this kind of package to appear. Actually am hoping for a proper 4.0 on 2G hacked from the 3G version. Even if it is a 3.1.3/4.0 hybrid at the pre-kernel bootlevel, that would be acceptable to me.
