I am trying to use SAM tool to activate phone and enable push - I am having no luck!

I have used a custom created firmware with Pwnage Tool 4.2 to avoid updating my baseband.

I am using SAM tool 0.1.11-1, the instructions on the SAM website are not up to date.

So far it seems I have tried everything but the basics are. Restored using custom firmware, installed SAM tool, I reverted Lockdownd to Stock, plugged phone into iTunes - invalid sim, I have tried all the carriers in UK, still invalid sim.

Can someone help??

I haven't yet, I will eventually need too. Was trying to get Push fixed first. Should I install ultrasn0w?

You need ultrasn0w installed (and working) to use SAM to activate legitimately.

I have installed ultrasn0w now, tried a few settings on SAM and still says invalid sim.
Any ideas?

Have you tried the redsn0w option to remove hacktivation from lockdown?

I have tried that as well!
I deactivated through redsn0w, and still no luck - very frustrating due to me wanting Push!

SAM doesn't work with every sim card / carrier (it works with 95%) - but it seems strange that it won't work at all with any UK sim.
With hacktivation + ultrasn0w (forget SAM for a moment) does the phone actually log on to a network and can you make calls? I'm asking this to see if the problem is that the phone itself has been blacklisted.

Yep currently functioning brilliantly - can make calls, receive, send messages, use data, everything.
It is so annoying as I would love push to work!

I'll leave the thread open, maybe another member can help you more. The problem is I have no phones which require SAM - so I can't test it.
