Default "SIM card inserted ... does not appear to be valid" after restore

    Hi guys,

I bought my iPhone 4 from a local Polish auction website. It was said to be factory unlocked. And everything appeared so, I updated it three times (up to 4.3.3) via iTunes and had no problems.

However yesterday out of pure interest ( ) I clicked "restore" in iTunes and now the phone says the horrible "SIM card... " which afaik means it has a SIMlock.

Does it mean that I was fooled by the seller and now have to jailbreak the phone?

    Thanks in advance!

Did it say Congratulations iPhone unlocked bla bla bla on iTunes at the first time you activate it?

If it didn't, the seller was fooling you.
