Should I upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1?
I just bought an iPhone 3GS w/iOS 4.0. Is there any point in upgrading to 4.1 (via PwnageTool, of course). I looked at the iOS version history on wikipedia, and there doesn't appear to be much that is truly compelling.

4.2 is a more compelling upgrade than 4.1 however I would suggest that if you sell it you should sell it running Pwnagetool 4.1 - that will allow unlock at 4.1 and will prevent the buyer from accidentally upgrading to stock 4.1 as soon as they get the iPhone.
Of course - the warning about avoiding updates should still be supplied at the time of sale regardless of the version it is running when sold.
