    Default Restore not working...

Hey, i'm trying to restore my iPhone, but everytime i restore it it gives me an error of 1013, so i went into the host file and deleted "" and was told it will work, but now it gives me another error which is 3194. I am not trying to downgrade it , i'm using the same firmware i used to jailbreak it which is 4.2.1. Does anyone know why it keeps doing that?

Please search before posting. Both of these errors are *extremely* common and your question has been asked something like 500 times.

This error occurs when you have a line in your hosts file referencing saurik's server for the DNS name of and either saurik's server is not responding, or you do not have an SHSH on file for the iOS revision you are attempting to restore. The solution is to remove the line from your hosts file (or comment it out with the "#" character at the beginning of the line).

This error occurs when you are attempting to restore a version of iOS that Apple is not presently signing, AND you are not using a third party SHSH caching server (TinyUmbrella or saurik's server). Click the SHSH link in my signature if you're unsure as to what one is and why you need it.

You *will* need an iOS 4.2.1 SHSH on file if you want to restore iOS 4.2.1 at present. If you do not have one on file or do not have a saved SHSH, you can no longer get one -- you will be relegated to restoring iOS revisions for which you have SHSH on file or for which Apple is still signing. I *HIGHLY* recommend that if you do not already have it, you get a copy of your 4.3.2 SHSH on file.
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.

    iPhone 4, 32GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n | SHSH: 4.0 - 6.1.2)
    iPad 2 3G, 64GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n
    SHSH: 4.3 & 4.3.3 - 6.1)
