i was having trouble loading upmapps on my iPhone 4 on 4.3.1 so i decided to reinstall 4.3.1 again ( i done it a few weeks ago on a friends phone with no problem)

i have downloaded 4.3.1 from redmond pie
started tiny umbrella and tsp server
opened iTunes and clicked restore then picked the 4.3.1 firmware
after a while it says error 1013 or sometimes it rarely says not eligible for build

i have tried about 20 times now and it never works and it is now in recovery mode

i have also tried updating to 4.3.3 and it doesn't work.

i have saved the shsh from cydia through tiny umbrella and have deleted the lines in host that say
#127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

like i said i have done it a few weeks ago on my iMac with a friends phone and it worked. i just doesn't now

This is NORMAL if you previously have blocked your baseband from being updated (in other words you have baseband 3.10.01 or lower). Is your baseband at 1.59.00 and you rely on ultrasn0w unlock?
Did you try: FixRecovery Win or FixRecoveryMac ??

Are you 100% sure that SHSH blobs are for your phone and not your friends (or another phone you had previously tried to save SHSH blobs with via TinyUmbrella)?

Generally, I recommend that you NOT edit hosts file. Instead let TinyUmbrella set the correct hosts file entries dynamically.

i think they are mine as i just had a new iMac a few days ago and today i installed tiny umbrella and when i plugged my phone into it it didn't show any shsh saved but i clicked on save shsh and it added them all

i don't mind if the baseband updates as it is factory unlocked. also i havnt used fix recovery mac. how do i use it?

the last time i jail broke was on 4.3.1 with redsnow but when i put my iPhone into dfu mode and click fix recovery the screen goes black and a few lines of white text comes up and the last line is green poison initialised. i jail broke with greenpoinson a while back but not on 4.3.1 i don't think.

just checked and the all have the same ecid number
are these the right steps? if not can you tell me what i should be doing

1. start TU and tss server
2. open iTunes and alt restore and find the 4.3.1 firmware on my computer
3. after it installs i get the 1013 error (on phone it says connect to iTunes and iTunes says the phone is in recovery)

do i now load up fix recovery? if so do i close iTunes and stop the tsp on TU?
4. start up fix recovery
if i close iTunes it tells me to load it back up (should i have closed it?)
5. enter dfu
6.alot of stuff happens on fix recovery then it closes

do i need to do anything after this as iphone is still in recovery

Close iTunes - put the phone into DFU mode (not pwned DFU mode)
If iTunes opens again, close it before proceeding
Start a command prompt and drag fix recovery onto the command prompt then hit retun to run fix recovery.
By doing it this way, you can see any messages that fixrecovery shows while it is running.

Are you using a mac or windows computer?
Did you get a chance to save the error message from fixrecovery?
You are using the Fixrecovery for 4.3? The download contains two versions, one for iOS 4.3 and one for 4.2.1
