So I did the upgrade today and preserved the BB yada yada. I go to get the supreme pref to re enable the cellular data button to input apn's and mms stuff and its not available for 4.2.
First off, has anyone been able to get mms working on their i4 with 4.2.1 using tmobile? If so how'd ya do it? Second is there a US Tmobile carrier bundle for this latest update?

Ok, easy way to make the the cellular data become available again. Remove your sim and put it back in. I only needed to do it once.. still working on getting mms back online. But I think I got passed the hardest part..
Without a proper commcenter patch, that won't stick past a reboot.
Also supreme preferences is a very dangerous tool, be very careful with it.
We have never found a reason to recommend using supreme preferences here. It's like using a sledgehammer to open a locked door instead of finding the key.
Yeah, it was a temp thing to get into cell data while in the 4.0.x's but now it isn't available for 4.2.x. I did get in but I'm having no luck with mms.. They are going through but not delivering the picture.Quote:

Look for the universal Commcenter patch by wortel. That in combination with a correctly configured carrier bundle will fix your problems.
Not sure if we are allowed to post external links but there is a wortel for 4.2.1 on another site uploaded last year. Google "commcenter patch 4.2.1" (without quotes). This works great. Used it last night in order to patch my carrier.plist. The taking out and putting back sim lasts a while though.
I was drawn to your site because of an older post wrt to messagefwdfix. Actually we fixed it for 4.2.1. I'll update that thread once I find it later :)
