Tutorial:-Untethered Jailbreak For iphone 3gs on bb 6.15(Ipad baseband)

Hi Friends,

Today I will just give u a small tutorial to all my friends here that how you can get a untheathered jailbreak and also u can unlock ur iphone 3gs(any bootrom) on bb5.14 or 5.15......

Note:- Do this process only if you have saved your ios4.1 shshs via tiny umbrella or on cydia


1) Upgrade your iphone 3gs to ios 4.2.1 stock firmware

2) Then jailbreak ur 4.2.1 by redsnow 0.9.6b5 latest release and flash ur baseband to 6.15(ipad baseband)

3) When done restore ur iphone 3gs 4.1(stock firmware) via itunes 10.1

4)after restoration is complete u will get an error 1015 or 1005 or something like that....

5)Open tiny umbrella and u will get an option exit recovery and ur iphone will exit the recovery mode and u will get the emergency call screen... Now u need to hactivate ur iphone as u would be relying on a unlock.

6) Again use the same version of redsnow as mentioned in the second step and jailbreak ur iphone but this time do not tick on install ipad baseband just tick on install cydia...

7) After the process is finished u will et a hactivated iphone and then open cydia and add the repo: http:\\repo666.ultrasn0w.com and install ultrasnow to unlock ur iphone 3gs... Reboot ur iphone and u r ready to use it...

You should be able to do this without loading 4.2.1 (although the solution is more technical)

Also.. 6.15 baseband is not for everyone - it can cause problems with GPS

beside that, don't you need 4.1 SHSH?

It says that you need a 4.1 SHSH in tapan15in's guide.

Yes olethros this can be also used without upgrading to 4.1 but the time i did on my 3gs i was not sure about that but then i tried myself to check it... Sorry didnt updated that in this guide..... Yes totally agreed with olethros this baseband causes problems with Gps...

The baseband doesn't cause problems with GPS, it's the combination of baseband and iOS 4.2.1

Reports are that this baseband and iOS 4.1 have no problems with GPS
