Redsn0w and Boot Logo
Not sure if this is the correct forum but hope someone can help.
I have a iPhone 3G which has been jailbroken using latest version of Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-4, with iOS 4.0.1 and everything works fine. I decided I would like to change the boot logo, however an app called LogoMe does not work past OS 3.1 and from my searches it seems that previous versions of Redsn0w had an 'already pwned' tickbox, which you could then enable just to change the boot or recovery logo without re-jailbreaking the firmware, and keeping everything already installed, as well as settings. The current version does not have this check box.
My question is - does anyone know if I untick everything apart from change boot logo in the current version of Redsn0w, whether or not it will end up re-jailbreaking my phone, or will it just change the boot logo?
Don't really want to re-jailbreak unless I have to of course - it took nearly two hours to jailbreak and re-install everything!
You can use redsn0w, it was designed to be used this way, you will not loose your apps, just remember to deselect 'Install Cydia', otherwise it will mess it up.
Thanks - for the advice..
Just in case anyone is in a similar position if you are using the latest version of RedSn0w - all you need to do is un-check Cydia - it does re-jailbreak the firmware but it doesn't interfere with the apps etc.. if you un-check everything and just check the custom logo then you still have a jailbreak but no multi-tasking.
