iPhone 4 iOS 4.1 need help unlocking

Hi,

I just bout 2 iPhones 4,

- 1st one I made a big mistake by updating it from 4.1 to 4.2.1 directly from iTunes... by doing that I got locked iPhone, but I managed to downgrade it to 4.1 then jailbreaking it with limera1n but it's still locked, I need help here to unlock it to work with any carrier, HOW CAN I DO THIS PLEASE? taking into consideration that it has BB 03.10.01

- 2nd one is still new, it has 4.1 (AT&T) I need your help guiding me to jailbreak it & unlock it to be use in any carrier company, Cydia & FaceTime.

What is the best & the easy way to do this taking into consideration that the iPhone is not yet activated.

1) You did in fact make quite a mistake. The baseband included with 4.2.1 on the iPhone 4 cannot be downgraded (any more) or unlocked (at present). You're going to have to wait on this phone.

2) iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 can be jailbroken but if it was factory installed with 4.1 it cannot be unlocked as it will have baseband 02.10.04 (which cannot presently be unlocked with ultrasn0w). Beyond that, if you do not have an SHSH on file for iOS 4.1 (they are no longer signing 4.1) and anything ever happens to bootloop the phone, you will be forced to restore 4.2.1 which will further upgrade the baseband and provide only a tethered jailbreak. In any case, iClarified has a good tutorial to jailbreak an iPhone 4 on iOS 4.1 here:

I hate to say it but it doesn't look like you're going to be able to unlock either of those phones at present.

Have patience.....ntn else you can do at the moment.
use it as an Expensive iPod....Hell will break :)

No news yet. It will be big news when this happens, there will be a sticky thread in the ultrasn0w section. Please keep any eye out for that instead of bumping existing threads for an update.
