Fetching iPad BaseBand on LocalHost OS X
Hi, i was wondering how to fetch iPad BaseBand in my Mac instead to conect to Apple Servers, due it takes so longer when Internet is bad.
I found a tutorial to do it in Windows but there's nothing for OS X.
Check out the tutorial for Windows and let me know your ideas to make it work.
PS: I am running MAMP as local server.
1 - install a web server of your choice. I used Appserv2.5.10
2 - go to the www directory of the web server. in my case "C:\AppServ\www"
3 - into "www" directory create the folder "iPad"
4 - into the folder "iPad" create another called "061-8801.20100811.CvfR5"
5 - into the folder "061-8801.20100811.CvfR5" copy the downloaded iPad firmware "iPad1,1_3.2.2_7B500_Restore.ipsw "
6 - goto "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" and open with notepad the "hosts" file adding at the end: 127.0.0.1 appldnld.apple.com
7 - Remove all DNS Servers of your internet connection
8 - Began the process of jailbreak with redsn0w
Thanks in advance
