3G version 4.2.1 8C148a) Modem Firmware 05.15.04 will not jailbreak Used Redsnow 0.9.

:confused:Used Redsnow 0.9.6b6, and iphone1.2_4.2.1_8C148_Restore to no avail ...have followed instructions as per dev team site regarding operation. It seems regardless of whether I run redsnow and have it install ipad baseband or not, it always fails to come out of recovery mode; forcing me to rerun itunes and restore from itunes putting me right back where i was before trying redsnow. Am running windows vistax32 and itunes 10.1.1.4 Please someone help. I apologize in advance if I have repeated a thread, spent hrs searching through to find an answer.

Finally managed to get to work, using redsnow0.9.6b6, had to run redsnow again selecting boot tethered,to get cydia icon to not be white, then ran ultrasnow from cydia, hopefully won't have to keep running redsnow and selecting tethered boot after performing reboots when installing apps from cydia or installous

Yes you will need to tethered boot each time you reboot your phone. That's clearly explained on the dev team's blog entry for the 4.2.1 jailbreak.

Also as you mentioned warez. Your thread gets closed and you get an official warning. We don't tolerate illegal activities like warez here. There are no non-warez justifications for installulous.
