3G stuck in recovery with 6.15

Hi guys, i have a stupid problem. I had the 3G working on 4.2.1 with 6.15 using redsn0w but had many problems. So i thought of downgrading to a custom 3.1.2 which worked but cydia had problems, then i tried restoring to a custom 4.1 it failed and did not want to go then i tried 4.2.1 custom and it does not go, now the phone is stuck in recovery and does not wanna come out of it, i tried putting custom 3.1.2 again in itunes but itunes hangs on "preparing iphone for restore" and then gives a 16 something error. What am i doing wrong? Olethros, i need help lol.

i also tried recboot to kick it out of recovery but it still goes back to recovery.

You should know by now. Without publishing your iTunes restore log (or even specifying the exact error code) there is NOTHING I can do to help you.

i know buddy, but i have no logs, all i know is that i get error 1600. This POS does not wanna boot.

Tried a different computer, reinstalling iTunes?

yup tried a different computer as well. I tried on a windows 7 pc and used redsn0w to just boot tether and it was turning on but stuck on apple logo. no more connect to itunes logo.

ok i finally got something different. I used redsn0w pointed to 4.2.1 and install cydia, back to recovery mode. THen i ran redsn0w again and this time just selected, boot tether, and it came to the activation screen. THis is weird because this phone has ipad baseband. Is ther anyway i can tell which firmware it is running? Because i cant get into the phone, its not activated.
