    Default Is it possible without SHSH downgrade from 4.1? (answer is no)

    i bought a used iphone 3gs yesterday.It was 3.1.3 and unlocked.Then today i connect it to itunes and update to 4.1.I didn't backed up SHSHs and cant down to 4.0.1 or qnother firmware.And now i have a iphone that can only dial emergency calls(no menu).Itunes "SIM card not supported...blah blah"

    Plz help me..

    Nope.. you are 100% stuck. Contact the carrier the iPhone was originally locked to and ask if they will officially unlock it for you.

    If you don't know which carrier the iPhone is locked to you can use TinyUmbrella to work out the model number of the iPhone, then google that model number to find out which carrier or country that model iPhone is linked to.

    This question has been asked many times before (for 4.0, 3.1.x etc) there have been warnings about not blindly upgrading since the iPhone was first introduced. the latest is Dev-Team Blog - It's a trap!
