Default Phone stuck in Pwned DFU Mode

I was trying to update my firmware and I used IReb which put it into Pwned DFU mode I recieved a error 1015 during the restore. Now the phone won't turn on and isn't detected in Itunes. I tried holding the power/home button that wasn't successful. I tried Tiny Umbrella but Enter/Exit recovery are grayed out(they were also grayed out before DFU mode) So i'm stuck and looking for a solution. Thanks in advance for any help

More details (what iOS version did you try and update to?? Do you have a saved SHSH blob for that iOS version)

1015 error should leave you stuck in recovery mode not DFU mode. Is the screen black?

It sounds like you need to do a clean restore.

BTW, do u need an unlock or not?

-First, put your phone in 'regular' DFU mode:
(power for 5sec - power and home for 10sec - home for 10sec).

-Second, open TU and under Advanced, uncheck the Cydia/Hosts file box

-Third, Google: Edit Hosts File for (Windows or Mac)

-Fourth, remove Sauriks string (74.xxx.xxx gs.apple.xxx) from the Hosts file & SAVE the newly Edited Hosts file!!!!! (Win Vista & 7 require you to open the file as Administrator)

    -Fifth, reboot the Computer

-Sixth, check the Hosts file again to make sure Sauriks string is gone.

-Seventh, restore from iTunes as normal

-Eighth, you might need TU or RecBoot to EXIT Recovery Mode if you get a 1015 or 1013 Error.

Hope this will solve your problem.

Can't help with an unlock without knowing what revision iOS and Baseband you have....

Default iphone 3g stuck in pwned dfu mode, not recognized by windows or itunes!

I cannot get into dfu mode, i have tried everything. This happened when I was about to sell my phone a month ago, so I went into the phone to delete all the information. When it was done clearing the info from the phone it bricked to a degree that has never happened before. I've brought the phone back many times, but at least the computer would recognize it. Any thoughts or help would be really appreciated!

Did you 'erase all content and settings'? If so, you made a bad mistake. This deletes the iOS revision on the device as well. Since it's a 3G, you don't have to worry about SHSH unless you're restoring iOS 4.x or higher, and even then, you can bypass it if your phone is pwned while you're restoring the new iOS. In any case, let us know what you did to 'delete all the information', and we can go from there. If you did 'erase all content and settings', the phone will NOT work again until you restore a version of iOS to it.

To get more technical, your phone still has the basic files to initialise the phone (known as the NOR images or boot chain), but it has no OS as n1ckn4m3 mentioned.

Based on your actions and description I can pretty confidently say that it's currently NOT in pwned DFU mode but you should try and get the phone into pwned DFU mode (DFU mode is hardware based and shouldn't be triggered by erasing the OS).

Having no OS impacts timing for entering DFU mode, I suggest you try with an (apple authentic) wall charger as this has been more successful for entering DFU mode for people who have had similar problems in the past.

Sorry for hijacking this old thread but I don't think I am able to create new threads being a new member. I'm stuck in this mode as well. I have an iPhone 4 GSM. I'm on baseband 04.10.01. I was on iOS 5.1.1 and was trying to upgrade to iOS 6. I haven't upgraded baseband and I did save my blobs. I have shsh 6.01 and 4.3.3. Have used Snowbreeze iFaith mode to bundle ispw with the appropriate shsh file. As far as I am aware I should be able to use 6.0.1.

When I go to restore the ispw (either 6.01 or 4.33) in iTunes it says iphone could not be restored, 1600 error. I have tried running TinyUmbrellas TSS service while doing the restore. I've made sure hosts file doesn't have apple entries. Nothing seems to make a difference.

In redsn0w it says I am in soft dfu mode. It's doesn't seem to matter what buttons I push on the phone it won't come out of that mode. I assumed if I had these blobs and didn't upgrade my baseband I should be able to at least restore to my previous version. I hope thats is the case and my phone isn't now useless.

The only thing I can think of trying now is using the itunes update to the latest version. However if that even works, my baseband will be upgraded and I'm not sure if I will be able to unlock it. Although that is better than an iphone stuck in dfu mode.

I also read somewhere that you can get the phone unlocked if it is AT&T which I assume mine is being a GSM model?

Any help would be much appreciated.
