    I managed to unpack it but I still get that bloody message. I don't think the file works.

    @norenred: I've found that your 3G package extracts into wrong folder ./System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter but it has to be /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter

    Do not forget to have the original copy of CommCenter file - later you will need it for IPCC and Tethering patches in original condition!

    in Hexeditor change:

    0x11158 01 D1 -> 00 46 = ShowCallForwarding = False
    0x111AC 01 D1 -> 00 46 = ShowCallForwarded = False

    after patching upload patched file to iPhone /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/support/CommCenter

    don't forget to

    Code:
    chmod +x  /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/support/CommCenter
    ldid -s  /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/support/CommCenter
    or you have to restore... then reboot.

    you can Jailbreak iPhone with latest Redsnow, which will appear soon.
    Do I change:

    0x11158 01 D1 -> 00 46

    0x11158 01 D1 into 0x11158 00 46

    If I type 0x11158 into the selection field in hex editor, it goes to a row with somewhere at the end the 01 D1. I change those two values in 00 46?

    Just to make sure I do the right thing.

    yes, just change these two bytes. After reuploading do not forget to

    ldid -s CommCenter

    via SSH client

    I am sorry for the flawed packages. It seems they changed the path slightly from 3.1.2. I used a deb I already had on file. I'll fix the version and report back.

    After changing the file, my phone has become very slow and doesn't find my carrier anymore (both T-Mobile and Vodafone).

    Any idea what is wrong?

    seems sth went wrong. Did you use the correct CommCenter file (3G and 3GS are different). Upload the backup CommCenter file, chmod +x and reboot.

    Once I upload the backup file, all is fine again. I have a 3G and I used the instructions in the opening post.

    Users-Mac-Pro:~ sohus$ ssh root@192.168.1.34
    root@192.168.1.34's password:
    Users-iPhone:~ root# chmod +x /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter
    Users-iPhone:~ root# ldid -s /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreTelephony.framework/Support/CommCenter
    Killed

    Is the Killed command line normal? I did everything like described.
