openssh on 4.0
was wondering if ssh was working for anybody. tried to connect to my iphone but kept timing out.

Working fine for me. Remember that after upgrading to 4.0, you will have erased your old keys meaning your computer will deny access to the new key on your 4.0 iPhone until you remove the old fingerprint from ~/.ssh/known_hosts (security thing, prevents you from SSH "phishing")

My problem is similar. It says 'connecting' and hangs there... I'm running WinSCP. Is this where the "~/.ssh/known_hosts " file would be?

@Rekoil I did what you said and it worked...
Thanks

I had the sane issue with timing out. It may sound stupid but once ur phone sleeps ur no longer connected to wifi(unless ur running insomnia, etc). Ur connection will time out. That was my problem, and I had similar error code. Also, my springboard kept crashing and putting me in safe mode, so I deleted open ssh. I'll just install open ssh when I need to use it, then delete it. Anyone else having that issue? Not trying to crossthread.

Sometimes I need to open Safari to engage the network connection before I can SSH, even if SBSettings is working and I toggle it. Not sure why, I'll be able to ping the device but not SSH. Also could be that SSH just takes longer to start than I anticipate it will, but in most cases, I've been able to connect after opening Safari and navigating to google or something, then trying again.
