Hello, i wish to use snowbreeze but whenever i browse for ipsw 4.0 file, i get message 'not a valid ipsw'. I downloaded 3gs 4.0 file several times also from different sites but still same problem. Can anyone help me out?

Ok firstly - do you see a sn0wbreeze section here? Nope - that's because sn0wbreeze is not a recommended or supported by hackint0sh. It is a less reliable, unauthorised clone of PwnageTool.
Secondly, you posted in the 3G section - not the 3GS.
So there is no support - however, in general (based on supported tools) I can tell you that:
- You should only download orginal IPSW directly from Apple. Other sites may be illegally hosting modified versions of the IPSW.
- The not a valid IPSW error has never been wrong for me (with pwnagetool or redsn0w). It is important to begin with a known, tested and trusted IPSW. So you likely do really have the wrong IPSW.
