Newb Question
Im new and switching over from android. I am going to be getting a Iphone 3GS and will be getting it unlocked. My question to anyone who would be willing to help me is does the Iphone 4 really have a significant features that are better than the 3GS?

Once I started using the iPhone 4 and it's retina display, I can't bear to use my 3GS any longer. The extra RAM is also great, less chance of stuttering when switching apps that support fast user switching.

The iPhone 3GS utilizes a 600MHz CPU with 256 MB of RAM. This isn't particularly slow, but without multitasking onboard, it's a little hard to judge how the device switches between apps or runs more than one concurrently.
What is going on inside the iPhone 4? The iPhone 4 features the new A4 chip -- the same that powers the iPad. The extra horsepower of the A4 and the accompanying graphics engine will help push around all of the additional pixels of the iPhone 4's screen.
The iPhone 3GS currently runs version 3.1 OS. However, right around the release of the new phone, the update for iOS 4 will be issued and available for update on all iPhone 3GS phones. The iPhone 4 will be released operating on iOS 4.
Overall, if you're due for an upgrade, the iPhone 4 will likely surpass all of your expectations and you will be very happy. However, if you're still under contract and don't fall within AT&T's 6-month grace period, it might be worth sitting tight; enjoy the 3GS for a bit longer since the price of buying the iPhone 4 out of contract will be very expensive.
