    Default Jailbreak Questions FAQ Basics

I have an iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3 - locked), using windows 7 and have never experienced jailbreaking any device yet. I have read several tutorials and guides including the iSeminar (good work btw). I am planning to jailbreak my phone but there are some things that are not yet clear to me. As of now I have no plans of unlocking it.
    Here are my questions:
1.) What is the most reliable site when it comes to jailbreak updates/new especially for Windows users?
2.) If I jailbreak my phone, will I lose any existing data? Well actually I guess not. Just wanted to confirm.
3.) Let's say I've jailbroken my phone(iOS 4.3). And a new official iOS has been released (4.3.1). I know that I should NOT immediately upgrade to the official release. So if jailbreak for 4.3.1 has been released, how can I upgrade (jailbreak) without losing data?

    Thank you!

    1. iPhone dev team blog & greenpois0n/chronic dev
    2. Not normally (however custom IPSW plus setup of phone as new will wipe existing data)
    3. There are several solutions but I always recommend pwnagetool custom IPSW as the best solution. There are two reasons for this - pwnagetool will only support the iPhone 4 on a new IPSW when an untethered jailbreak is available, and pwnagetool can prevent baseband update without the hassle of recovery loops (due to baseband mismatch)

Backup you iPhone with iTunes , Jailbreak it with that tutorial because its a good one , when finished plug it back to the PC run iTunes and restore the device, all your data will be back ;-)
