As long as you are currently jailbroken on your 3GS (with redsn0w)

Yes.. but not "upgrade" you will need to "restore" with a custom ipsw made with Pwnagetool 4.0.1 then if you want to keep your files and settings "restore from iTunes backup" afterwards. For guides, you can try this Pwnagetool *unofficial* tutorial: iOS4.0 - Hackint0sh or iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your iPhone 3GS Using PwnageTool (Mac) [4.0]

Unlock is possible with ultrasn0w 0.9.3.

    This is NOT true.

The iPhone DevTeam (who make Pwnagetool for mac and have released jailbreaks for every single iOS version since the iPhone was released) have said they are working on a PwnageTool for windows and will release it when it is ready.

Sn0wbreeze is simply an unauthorised and unofficial windows GUI on top of the core xpwn code (again written by the iPhone dev team).

The moderators on this forum will never recommend or provide support for sn0wbreeze.
