Default Iphone will not register charge or thats its even plugged in

I downloaded noaccesorysplash iOS4 from cydia because I was getting the error about this accessory not being compatible, oddly I was getting the screen when it wasn't even plugged up to anything. But because I was getting the screen i downloaded the package, after downloading the package my Iphone wont charge, more so it wont even recognize that its plugged in to my wall or computer. To top it off my Iphone died before I could try and do anything with it.... help?

NoAccessorySplash is not really for what you want. This allows you to use the iPod app on your iPhone when you have connected your iPhone via USB to a system that supports iPods (like many cars) and would normally only allow you to control music playback from that system's interface rather than from the iPhone's screen.

You sound like you have the typical symptoms of either water damage or some kind of foreign material that has blocked or damaged the contacts inside the dock connector at the bottom of your iPhone.

The reason I downloaded the package because I was randomly getting that error screen, note it wasn't even plugged up to anything. Then after I downloaded the package it stopped charging. I just assumed it had something to do with the package, but I havent even had my phone near water so i do not see how that could be the problem, is there any way to clean the contacts?
