Does anyone know how to backup the iphone on os4 without iphone sdk? I have no need to install it. Also would anyone know when os4 beta 3 will come, beta 2 was the worst they have come out with.

Don't think so. Only published fix right now is to install the SDK.

Betas seem to be released about once every two weeks, give or take a few days. I expect we'll see Beta 3 in the next week, but that's just a guess.

Thanks, looks like ill just haft to install sdk. I need to backup my phone because i restored to beta 2 and need to go back.

You can uninstall after the fact if you don't need it anymore so it shouldn't be too big a deal to get it and install -- you are a legitimately registered developer, right? ;-)

Well thats the thing, I just have my udid activated. I wasn't going to spend $100 on a account for just os4.

Ahh - this is another reason we recommend non-devs keep away from the beta OSes... You can find the SDK in the normal places but we can't link to it here.

Well see you could call me a hardware dev. Upgrading to os 4 is part of a project of making my 3gs look like the new prototype.
