    if that was the case?

Would you still recommend me going to the apple shop to try an itunes restore?
You can try an apple store, especially if the phone is still under warranty.

Do you think it could be the battery
Because there is no way i could know if the phone has been charging

do you think it would be worth it buying a new one?

Unlikely, I can't see how this could affect the transfer of control from iTunes to the iPhone (which is where your restore is failing)

I was thinking it might not have enough power in the device to do a restore
    I'm willing to try anything

I went to the Genius bar, he got the exact same restore message 21 like me
he even opened the phone up and saw everything was in place

he said i'm out of warranty, but he could replace it for 140
but i don't have the money

Do you think it could be the dock connector?

If he got error 21 when doing a restore on a mac (your attempts were all on windows right?) then it's probably hardware - the dock connector, or the battery or the NAND are the most common suspects.

Unless you can find a reliable third party repair shop that can replace the dock connector - I would bite the bullet and get the 140 out of warranty replacement (but insist that they not lock it to a specific carrier).

    I think you're completely right!!

If he couldnt spot a hardware issue, i dont think any third party repair shop around me can help, without paying alot of money

I think im going to eventually go back and give in to Apples offer

Thanks Olethros, with all your support
