    Default Iphone 3gs: wifi internet sharing -possible?

    Hi,
    iPhone 4, as you all know, has the ability to share 3G connection over wifi. This is not possible using a 3GS Anyone know if the internet sharing has been hacked so it's possible to do wifi sharing on 3GS as well? Yes, I know about myWi, but before I go ahead and buy that, I thought I should ask if the built in sharing could be tricked to open up wifi for 3GS

    Some people have looked into this and have said it's most likely not possible (due to differences in the wifi and 3G chipsets between the two models)

    It might be possible to hack it on the 1st generation iPad (which has the same wifi chip as the iPhone 4 but the same 3G chip as the 3GS).
