Help please. I went to 1clarrified.com and followed tutorial to jailbreak 1phone 3gs running 4.0.1 with baseband 05.13.04.

Run through the process with Limera1n until the 'Done' screen. Phone reboots on its own but still not activated.

For your info I am doing this without any sim inserted as I dont have official carrier sim.

I know I cant use jailbreakme as the phone need to already be activated.

So what am I doing wrong? Getting a headache now (

I know I am missing something really easy, but just cant see where Im going wrong

Limera1n should hacktivate so long as you have an alternate carrier SIM in your phone when you allow it to do the jailbreak. Alternately you can use redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 to jailbreak and hacktivate iOS 4.0.1. We usually prefer it to limera1n, it seems to work better.
