About LinkBacksI help my friend get a iphone 3g and notice it is on 4.21 and the modem is 6.15 and bootloader is not downgradable. I know my only option for unlock is the ipad 6.15 but was the gps issue ever repair or a work around

There is no known fix for the GPS issue yet, and since it's been so long, it probably never will be.
