    The beta period is not over (yet) - here is the best guess we have so far.

    BB 5.15.04 for the 3g/3gs & 3.10.01 for the i4 by the 4.2 GM release, seems like those will be the final BB versions for the official 4.2

    yeah i know its still on GM period..
    i hope that with the diffrenet BB from 4.1 it will fix Gray out WIFI

    Depends on what caused your greyed wifi - have you analysed your syslog or published it for someone with more experience to analyse it?

    Have you looked at the restore log to see if any baseband related errors are reported in a standard restore log?

    I would consider upgrading your baseband as a "last resort" option to fix grey wifi as it is not a 100% guaranteed solution.

    i di restore to 3.0 used iRecovery and saw that there is WIFI Address there
    but u gave me quiet few ideas i will implement them them

    There was nothing very revealing in that log. Have you tried removing SBSettings and OpenSSH (temporarily) to see if your wifi comes back.

    uninstalled SBSettings
    didnt install OpenSSH from the first place
    still WIFI Grayout and
    WIFI Mac Address is N/A

    installed 4.0.1 with the currect SHSH

    iTunes install Log

    giving up on wifi mac address - runloop result is 3
    wifi_address is NULL
